Giving Thanks in 2020- a Note From Lisa

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours. I know we are happy to have 2020 almost come to an end!

There have been many changes to our lives. Depending on the day, I go back and forth between frustration and gratitude for small blessings. I used to joke that I wanted to be a stay at home Mom now that I am an empty nester!  Well, that happened and it was terrible. We went from an empty nest back to a full one. My business was forced to close and I did not realize how much I would NOT enjoy the time off. I love my job. I missed my staff and all your lovely faces. Looking back, I should have appreciated the time off a little more but it was disheartening with the future of the spa industry so unclear.

I am grateful that I had a website in place and the ability to pivot as a small business. I never dreamed that I would come full circle back to my home location. I feel fortunate that I was able to make the change and go with the flow of these crazy times. I know many small businesses were not so lucky.

The slower pace of Covid life felt really odd at first. I am not used to having so much free time.  I hope this is a hard re-set and I keep the slower pace that has been forced upon us.  It is funny how simple things like walking with a friend, or family dinners with my kids bring great pleasure. These are  things I took for granted before.

Being in retail for the last 30 years I am used to the holidays being super busy. I am sad about the missed traditions but am going to try to enjoy the fact that I don’t have to clean my house, entertain or run around in December like a chicken with my head cut off.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to support my small and local business. I can’t believe I am headed into my twenty eighth year!  It has been your support and encouraging words that have kept me optimistic.

I can’t wait until we are looking back on this time and gathering again with our family and friends.

Have a great Thanksgiving and stay safe and healthy!

Fondly,
Lisa Crosier
